A survey of third quarter healthcare job demand, conducted by HealtheCareers Network, identified both continuing and new trends in healthcare employment. Both social and hospital operation trends are leading factors in job demand; fields with the top job growth from Q2 to Q3 of this year:
- Therapy: 601%
- Radiologic Technologist/ Medical Imaging: 346%
- Nursing: 196%
Other notable trends shaping the healthcare staffing:
- Growing collection of patient data will lead Health IT to focus on predictive analytics
- 79% of RN’s consider the quality of a hospitals EHR system when applying for a job.
- Healthcare recruiting has increased 60% quarter-over-quarter, and 65% year-over-year.
